Wanted to keep you up to speed on Brutus.  He is the love of our lives and it is the greatest feeling to see him thrive and be happy.

Wherever we go Brutus is a show stopper and we get stares, people wanting to take his picture, questions from awestruck fans, even Facebook followers.  Everyone knows Brutus!!!

Thank you a million times over for letting us share in the doodle world, we are changed forever!!

Mimi and Mr. B

Labradoodles make fantastic therapy dogs.  We have heard from many of our clients what a great decision it was.  Hypoallergenic and non shedding dogs are able to help everyone, even those with allergies!  They have a calm, sweet disposition that is perfect for training and you will be hard pressed to have a better friend and helper in your life. We absolutely love our little Ellie! After some serious dog searching, it was dog-sitting the Chance Family’s labradoodle, Kip (also a Manor Lake dog) that made us decide we wanted a labradoodle. In October, we made the trip, by car, from California to Washington to pick up our new addition to the family. From the moment we met her, we were in love! She has been a wonderful dog and gets along great with our family members’ four-legged friends, too! We cannot imagine our lives without her sweet, loving, and spunky personality. Thank you, Manor Lake, for giving us the opportunity to be parents to Ellie and for the first time parent/pet owner’s guidance…we couldn’t be happier!

Our Christmas card would not be complete, without our baby so, Merry Christmas from the Peters’ Family (Bryan, Courtney, and Ellie) 2011.

I never got a chance to tell you how much we love our girl Roxanne- she is 100% perfect!

So smart and so well behaved- she is honestly the best tempered dog we have ever seen-

PS -is it common for this breed to always carry something in their mouth?

Thank you so much for the update on your beautiful little girl! To answer the question though, this is indeed something we see every so often!  One of our ladies, Emmie, is so silly with her toys!  She has a toy horse that she carries around, and when she can’t find it she will pick up even a soft doggy bed and drag it with her.  It’s one of the more endearing parts of her personality!

I’m excited to give you an update on Milo.  He is the most hilarious dog we have ever had.  He is the center of attention WHEREVER we go.  As I am sure, many others experience the question, “OOOOHHH MY GAAAWWWDDD! What kind of dog is that?” from passing cars, people at pet stores, folks in truckstops (remember we’re truck drivers). It’s so funny how many folks are fascinated by his gorgeous coat and silly demeanor.

He has become quite the communicator.  He touches whoever is driving the truck, ever so gently on the leg if he needs to go out.  He will stare at you for what seems like an eternity when he wants water.  He loves to have the wind rushing through his hair when we leave truckstops or shipper’s and sticks his head out the window.  This may not have been a good idea but now we can’t keep him out of the passenger seat when we are going at slow speeds.  He loves to snuggle on our pillows and lays on me will all of his weight when he gives me morning kisses.

We have thoroughly enjoyed having him in our family. I wish our truck was bigger because I so want another one.  You picked the best dog for us.  You were right, he won’t be a guard dog anytime soon but we don’t mind.  He is sweet, quiet boy.  Of course, if we get him to talking, he loves to communicate with the sweetest “RUFF”.  I still trim him myself and have been complimented a handful of times from folks asking, “Who grooms your dog?”  His puppy coat is beginning to come out and so we enjoy brushing time where he can relax and have his “mommy” dote over him.  He’s almost 10 months old and 47.6 lbs.  He’s the perfect size!

Hi Kim,

This is Charlemagne, “Charlie”, son of Leo and Serena, at 6 1/2 months of age. He is wonderful; happy, mellow, funny, playful, athletic, responsive and affectionate. His coat is lovely; soft and non shedding.

Charlie has been a dream to train and is a simply grand companion for all, from kids to my 94 year old mother. He is a magnet for compliments on walks. Everyone loves him! We could not be happier.

We feel so lucky to have our Charlie.
