Update on Manor Lake Maisy!

Thursday, February 27th, 2014

Hi Kim:
Maisy is the PERFECT puppy for us! I’m attaching a few pics of this darling girl who is the rave of the dog parks here in Dumbo and Brooklyn Heights. Owners and dogs alike love her spirit and her look…she is irresistible and she thinks she is as big as the biggest dog in the park. (all 9 pounds of her..she has doubled her weight since coming home).
She travels well and flew home with me (on my lap sound asleep) on the red-eye from Seattle.
She’s such a little athlete too…running with the pack, chasing balls, retrieving for a treat. We’ve had record snow here (for NYC) and she loves it.

Thank you for doing what you do in producing such a gem of a dog.

Manor Lake Australian Labradoodles Gives Back

06-1-DSCN0656  08-3-DSC_0382

Here at Manor Lake Australian Labradoodles we love giving back to our community to help those around us as much as we can. We have  responsibly donated an Australian Labradoodle Puppy recently to a wounded veteran, James, who is heavily involved in the Wounded Warrior Project. James’ wife, Shannon, contacted us about his husband and how he suffers from PTSD and other issues. He was looking for a companion to help him deal with his condition.

Our dogs are perfect candidates for therapy work with their sweet dispositions, high intelligence, asthma and allergy friendliness, and no to low shedding, easy train ability, excellent and loyal family companions, and of course their eagerness to please.

For more details about the puppy we donated to James, check out our recent blog post.

We look forward to hearing about James and his progress with his new companion, Tango!

Update on Manor Lake Gracie Rose

Monday, September 30th, 2013

Kim, Melissa and Megan,

We attached a current picture of Gracie and want to share some exciting news with you.  She just received certification from Love On A Leash to be a therapy dog.  Two local LOAL evaluators have been watching Gracie and I work together at skilled nursing and memory care facilities for the past four months.  The residents are amazed at how calm and soft she is.  They really like touching her face and she doesn’t seem to mind it at all.

Gracie and I, along with four other teams were recently asked by Memorial Hospital to start visiting families at Cottage In The Meadows, our hospice facility.  Tomorrow we will be making our first visit.

We’ve said it before but it needs to be said again, you raise amazing dogs.  She makes us laugh every day and we can’t imagine our life without her.

Warm regards,

Ike, Renee and Gracie Rose

Ike, Renee,  and Gracie Rose,

Thank you so much for the update of Gracie and adorable picture of her! Congrats to Gracie for her certification, we are very proud of her and that is so exciting! Gracie really is the whole package and we are so glad she is doing so well in her training and with your family as well. What an honor too, being asked by the hospital to start visiting the families at the hospice facility, please keep us updated on how it goes!

Thank you so much, that makes us incredible happy to hear. We love to hear about our puppies, especially when they have touched so many lives! We cannot thank you enough for the update and please give Gracie a HUGE hug for us! We could not be more proud and happy for her!
